A growing trend of art galleries and creative businesses are breathing new life into Englewood. In response to this momentum, a community of business owners has combined to launch “Second Saturday”, a collaborative effort designed to add sustained energy and visibility to Englewood as an exciting destination for art and local commerce. The event will take be the second Saturday of each month, year-round, encouraging people to explore the area through art openings, pop-up events, open studios, and other curated experiences. The goal is to provide a consistent and memorable reason for residents and visitors alike to spend the day enjoying the growing creative scene and other small businesses in the area.
Participants to date include, but are not limited to NKollectiv/EASEL Art Hub, SeeSaw Art Gallery and Studios, Blue Tile Gallery, Mutiny Comics and Coffee, Redline Artist Studios, Los Fantasmas, Western Sky Bar, Blackbook, Rising Gallery, Access Gallery, Birdsall, Anthology Fine Art, Illse Home Goods, Continuum Art Studios, Tejon Art Studios, and the Curtis Center for the Arts.
